Discrete Element Analysis of High-Pressure Zones of Sea Ice on Vertical Structures

چکیده

In cold regions, ice pressure poses a serious threat to the safe operation of ship hulls and fixed offshore platforms. this study, discrete element method (DEM) with bonded particles was adapted simulate generation distribution local pressures during interaction between level vertical structures. The strength failure mode simulated sea under uniaxial compression were consistent experimental results, which verifies accuracy parameters. crushing process acting on structure by DEM compared field test. contact surface calculated, it found that much greater than global pressure. high-pressure zones in are mainly caused its simultaneous destruction, these primarily distributed near midline area structure. loading rate two main factors affecting zones. maximum decrease an increase area. influence is change mode. When low, ductile occurs, increases rate. high, brittle decreases This study can reasonably predict marine structures provide reference for anti-ice performance design
